The cover for Between the Two RiversI amĀ  Aida Kouyoumjian. Welcome to my blog!

On these pages I will discuss my book, Between the Two Rivers: A Story of the Armenian Genocide.

These are the stories that I heard over and over again at my mother’s knee about how she and her sister managed to survive and flourish after the rest of their family was tortured and killed.

Please let me know if you have family stories you wish to share or questions or comments about my book.

Your book was such a page-turner that I finished it in three days. Your descriptive writing left such a vivid picture of the tragic events and grief-stricken survivors, while at the same time relaying details and experiences in a non-graphic way that leaves much to the imagination. Mannig’s dedication to family, her devotion to education, and her ability to triumph over tragedy is an inspiration to all. I’ll look forward to the sequel, as I am sure all of your readers will be wanting to know how the rest of Mannig’s life story unfolds.
